🔑 All-Suite & Vacation Club
Las Vegas hotel options run from mega-resorts on the Strip with their own casinos, theaters, and pool complexes, to boutique non-gaming towers, historic Downtown Fremont Street casinos, and locals-favorite resorts off the Strip in Henderson and Summerlin. We checked each property directly against its own official site and confirmed several major closures, demolitions, and rebrands along the way — Vegas’s hotel scene changes fast, and stale guides don’t catch it.

Planning Tips for This Area
- Decide Strip vs. Downtown vs. off-Strip before you book. The Strip has the mega-resorts and biggest shows; Downtown/Fremont Street is more compact, walkable, and often better value; off-Strip locals casinos (Red Rock Resort, Green Valley Ranch) offer a quieter, more residential stay with a short drive or rideshare to the action.
- A few major names have recently closed, imploded, or rebranded. The Mirage and Tropicana are both gone (demolished for future projects); Delano is now W Las Vegas; JW Marriott/Rampart Casino is becoming The Resort at Summerlin. We verify current status on every listing in this guide.
- Book non-gaming towers (Vdara, Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria, Signature at MGM Grand) for a quieter stay if you want Strip-adjacent convenience without walking through a casino floor to reach your room.
- Convention Center and Allegiant Stadium-area chain hotels are worth considering if you’re in town for a specific event rather than the Strip experience itself.
Is The Mirage still open?
No — it closed permanently in July 2024 and is being demolished and rebuilt as Hard Rock Las Vegas, targeted to open around 2027. It doesn’t appear in our Hotels guide for that reason.
What happened to the Tropicana Las Vegas?
It closed in April 2024 and was imploded in October 2024 to make way for a new Major League Baseball stadium. It’s no longer bookable under any name.
How does NME choose which hotels to feature?
We verify each listing directly against its own official site and current operating status rather than relying on aggregator lists, and we exclude anything we can’t confirm is still open. Read more on our methodology page.
