Las Vegas dining runs from Michelin-legacy fine dining and celebrity chef showcases inside the big Strip resorts to decades-old institutions that predate the modern Strip entirely. Restaurant turnover here is unusually high — casino resorts swap out celebrity chef concepts constantly — so we checked each restaurant directly against its own official site and confirmed a number of notable closures along the way.

Planning Tips for This Area
- Reserve celebrity chef and Michelin-legacy restaurants well ahead. Restaurant Guy Savoy, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, and the ARIA/Cosmopolitan chef-driven rooms all book up fast, especially on weekends.
- Vegas restaurant turnover is real — verify before you plan around a specific name. Several long-running celebrity chef restaurants closed in 2025 alone; we exclude anything we can’t confirm is still open.
- Buffets are a genre unto themselves here. Bacchanal Buffet and Wicked Spoon are worth the splurge even if you wouldn’t normally seek out a buffet elsewhere.
- Some of the best food is the least fancy. Peppermill’s neon-lit fireside lounge and Battista’s Hole in the Wall are cheaper, faster, and just as essential a Vegas experience as a tasting menu.
Is Le Cirque at Bellagio still open?
As of this guide’s last check it was, but it has a confirmed permanent closing date of August 23, 2026, so we’ve left it out of this guide to avoid recommending a trip around a restaurant that’s about to close.
Do I need reservations for Las Vegas’s top restaurants?
Yes, especially for Michelin-legacy and celebrity chef spots inside the major Strip resorts — book as far ahead as you can, particularly for weekend dinners.
How does NME choose which restaurants to feature?
We verify each restaurant directly against its own official site and current operating status rather than relying on aggregator lists, and we exclude anything we can’t confirm is still open. Read more on our methodology page.
