Money Audit separates locally stored audit information from account, entitlement, and transaction records. Choose the deletion action that matches what you want removed.
Delete local household financial data
Use My Data > Delete My Data inside Money Audit to remove locally stored audit entries, answers, calculations, action plans, and related local information from the current device. This action does not delete your account, end a subscription, remove a purchase record, or delete local copies on another device.
Also delete any backup, exported report, downloaded guide, or document that you stored elsewhere. NME cannot delete files held in your email, cloud storage, downloads folder, backup service, or another third-party system.
Delete your Money Audit account
Account deletion is currently handled by email request. Email support@nortonmediaenterprise.com from the email address associated with the account and include "Money Audit account deletion" in the subject line. Money Audit does not currently provide an in-app Delete My Account control; this email pathway is the account-deletion method in effect. Do not send passwords, complete card numbers, bank-account numbers, or sensitive household financial details.
Cancel subscriptions separately
Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not necessarily cancel an active subscription:
- Apple purchases: cancel through the Apple subscription settings associated with the Apple ID used for purchase.
- Google Play purchases: cancel through Google Play subscriptions for the Google account used for purchase.
- Website purchases: use the website account-management option provided for the subscription or contact support.
Cancel before deleting your account if you do not want the subscription to renew. Account deletion does not itself create a refund right.
What deletion covers
- The Money Audit account and associated profile information held by NME.
- Active entitlement and access records that are not required to complete the request or satisfy lawful retention duties.
- Support or operational records that are no longer reasonably necessary.
- A request to applicable service providers to delete account data they process for NME, where required and technically available.
Information we may retain
NME may retain limited purchase, refund, chargeback, tax, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, legal, and deletion-request records when reasonably necessary or required by law. Retained records will be restricted to those purposes and will not be used to restore ordinary app access after account deletion without a new lawful basis.
Timing and confirmation
We may verify your identity before acting. We aim to complete a verified request within 30 days. If additional time is reasonably necessary or legally permitted, we will provide an update. We will send confirmation when the account-deletion process is completed or explain any information that must be retained.
